Since the beginning of March I have had a wound due to a biopsy that didn’t heal. For three months various medical folks treated the wound with no success. Enter Dr. Bea. In less than one month the wound healed due to her expertise in wounds. Dr. Bea really knows wounds and what it takes to get them to heal. I would highly recommend her if you have a wound that needs medical attention. She is very kind, explains what needs to be done, and follows through. On Call Wound Care is the best. Karen Marini26 May 2026I highly recommend! On Call Wound Care was fabulous, compassionate, and caring, as well as very knowledgeable. My dad is living alone and had Mohs surgery on his head. It took a while to heal and the nurse was there three days a week cleaning and dressing it. She was a pleasure and sent me pictures every visit, letting me know how everything was progressing. Now that he is moving back north, Beatriz took care of transferring records and getting the home care services in NJ for dad. We were so happy to have their services!Posted on Google
Pattie D20 April 2026Beatriz Coccaro-Word is amazing in every way possible, polite, very knowledgeable on wound care. Beatriz came to our home to take care of my 92 year old mother-in-law. She also spent quite a lot of time going over how to take care of her wounds how to apply the medications & bandages. Beatriz would come back once a week to check on things, she ordered all supplies had them sent directly to our home. The healing process was so fast we were all shocked. Convenience and knowledge were amazing. I would highly recommend On Call Wound Care. Jon Odiorne9 May 2024my pcp called for dr b of on call wound care to take on my case he himself not knowing for sure what was causing a sore to appear on my lower leg which ended up makeing an actual hole in my leg. she set up a program calling in katia of sunsetset home health to come first every day even sat and sun then went down to three days a week. katia was in touch with dr b and keep her well informed of my progress, never once complaining about having to come on weekends. dr b came to the house and would decide if progress was in motion and when changes needed to be made she and katia talked and changed things up to match my needs. i feel so lucky to have been fallen into the hands of two such wonderful people as well as nurses. my wound is healing and i look forward to continue with speedy progress thanks to dr. bPosted on Google

My experience with Dr. Beatriz Coccaro-Word (Dr. B) began when my mother was in her late 90's. Her communication of plans of care and reliable scheduling and arrival was most impressive. As an Internal Medicine physician, myself, I can attest to her commitment to high standards and high quality of care. Matthew Acton1 September 2023I got a pressure wound in the hospital that is difficult to heal because of my anatomy (very bony back) and no sensation. Dr. Bea has helped me get it to almost healed. It's persistent, but Dr. Bea is persistent. She thinks critically about how to treat the wound (with the help of a regular home health nurse), always willing to try something new but only if it makes sense and it has proven results on others. Dr. Bea keeps up on the latest research, professional but very caring, and friendly. And, I can't forget to say how friendly, courteous, and on top of things the office manager, Betty, is. She's always ready to keep me updated on my appointments and, when I've had a question, she always has the right answer. Definitely recommend!Posted on Google

She poked a hole in her leg on her wheelchair many months ago and it wasn’t until Dr. Beatriz arrived on the scene that we have been able to get this wound under control. We are so very grateful to her and her medical knowledge! She is kind and loving towards my Mom and Mom really looks forward to seeing her. I don’t think we would be as far along (she finally has a layer of skin over this wound) if Brookdale had not called Dr Bea to come take a look! The initial intake visit was extremely thorough detailed and educational and done in the comfort of my home. Treatment plans were reviewed with rationale and thorough explanation of interventions and goals.. I had a very large ulcer on my foot, if not treated properly, can be infected which can lead to an imputation. Luckily with Dr. Beatriz, she not only treated the wound, but she also provided me with the care I need to fight the infection with no extra cost.
